1. Getting Started
If you don’t have a Constructo VIP account yet, here’s how to create one:
- Go to constructoVIP.com , click “LOGIN” or “MY ACCOUNT” and then click “SIGN UP”
- Enter your email address, first name, last name, phone number, and choose a password then click “Continue”
- Fill in your company name, address, and choose the category that best describes your specialty
- Click “Submit”
- Once you have entered the information, we will send you a confirmation email
- Click the “Activate” button
- Choose your membership type: Free or Premium, enter your credit card information, and click “Confirm”
Your password must have at least 8 characters and meet at least two out of the three (2/3) following requirements:
- An uppercase letter
- A digit
- A special character (e.g.: @#$%^)
Valid password examples: Afwkgi23 or afwkgi2!
Constructo VIP membership is free.
Transaction fees only apply for sellers. If you plan to sell a large volume of products, consider opting for a paid membership. Selling fees are lower with a paid membership.
Here’s everything you need to know about our free and paid memberships.
The information you already entered will be automatically filled in for your profile.
Sign into your account.
- Click “Profile” at the top right corner of the menu, then click “My account”
- You should now be in your dashboard
- Click “Edit info” from the left-side column. You can now add a description of your company in English and in French
- You can also change any information that you had previously entered when you subscribed
- Click “Next” to choose a profile picture and upload images to your gallery
- Click “Submit”
Your profile is now complete !
The Constructo VIP Marketplace is where all available products are displayed. The Marketplace is a venue for the sale and lease of surplus inventory, machinery, equipment, tooling, warehousing, and many other products of commercial interest. You will find all the products you posted as well as products being offered by other companies.
You can access the Marketplace from the homepage or through your dashboard.
The Marketplace also has a “Requests” button for you to browse which products are in most in demand.
Use the search tool at the top of the page and find products you need in a just a few quick clicks!
Log in. On the right-hand side of your dashboard, you will see the number of your active products and requests. Click the “+” sign.
- Fill in the requested information
- The “Description” box allows you to provide details about your product(s). There is also an option to add a French description to your post. For companies in Quebec, we highly recommend writing the info in both French and English
- Click “Next” and upload pictures of your product. Your chances of finding a buyer are much better if you add images! (Accepted formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG, WEBP)
- Select the location of your product
- You can also add an attachment such as a technical sheet if needed
Click “Save” and your product will be instantly posted online!
Log in.
Click on “Marketplace” and you will see a search bar at the top centre of the page.
Type in the item you are looking for and click “Search.” For example, if you type in “forklift” you will see all the relevant products available in your area.
There are advanced filters are on the right-hand side where you can narrow down your options.
The location of the products are displayed on a map on the right-hand side of the screen. To filter your product search based on a more specific location, you can make adjustments using the “Distance” slider and select your preferred radius.
You can also refine your results using filters with different settings including selecting a maximum distance or category.
Negotiate the Deal
Members may often be flexible about the rental/selling price. You can negotiate with the renter/seller directly on the platform. For more details about this, please refer to How do I negotiate a deal?
Once both the lender/seller and the renter/buyer agree on a price, verify the details of the transaction and then proceed to payment.
Complete the payment.
The product will be set aside for you once the payment is complete!
You can start your negotiation by making an offer on a product. There is a “Make an offer” on the right side of each product page.
To see all your ongoing negotiations, click “Profile” on the upper right side of the heading, and then select “Transactions.”
You can chat with the owner of the product you wish to buy or rent and answer questions from potential buyers about your own products. The chat area will remain available until the end of the transaction.
Be aware that the price includes the transaction fees for the owner of the product.
Once you have both agreed on the price, click “Accepted.”
Log in.
On the homepage of Marketplace or on your dashboard, click “+,” which indicates your number of requests.
Fill in the required information and click “Save.”
Your request for a product is now live and all members in your area will be notified.
Start by making the product/request private. Click the three dots at the top right-hand corner of the product and click “make private.”
After you’ve done that, your product won’t be available on the marketplace anymore and only you will be able to see it.
However, it will remain available on our server, so you can edit or repost it at any time.
If you wish to permanently delete it, a “delete” option will be available once your product has been made “private.” Careful, this action is not reversible.
2. Account Settings
Login.
Go to your Dashboard or click on “Profile” on the top right-hand corner.
All notifications are set as active by default.
If you do not wish to receive some, or any notifications, turn off each one you don’t want to receive using the slider. The button will turn grey.
Click “Update”
These settings may be changed at any time.
Login.
In the menu, at the top right-hand side of the page, there’s a bell icon. The number of notifications will appear on this icon.
Click on it to see your notifications.
Login.
- Click on “Profile” in the top right-hand corner
- Click “Language”
- Choose French or English
If you have forgotten your password or want to change it:
- Go to “Login” on the homepage
- Click “Forgot Password”
- We will send an email to the email address associated with your account
Open the email and click “change my password”
- Login
- Click on “Profile” at the top right-hand corner menu, then “My profile.” This will get you to your dashboard
- Click “Edit info” in the left column. You can now add a description of your company, both in English and in French. You can also change any previously added information
- Click “Next.” Choose a profile picture and upload images to your gallery
- Click “Submit”
Your profile is now updated!
You can easily change your contact email address from the “My account” page.
Click “My profile.”
On the left, below your profile picture, click “Edit.”
In the next window, you can edit all your information and enter a new email address.
There can only be one email address and one password for your Constructo VIP membership.
3. Payments & Fees
Our transaction platform is specifically designed to ease transactions between parties safely and securely. If you would like to cancel a reservation, you will receive a complete refund, minus the fees incurred by Constructo VIP (Example: 3% processing fees incurred by Constructo VIP).
An order cannot be cancelled within 48 hours of the delivery date.
We always ensure that the products displayed on the marketplace are of good quality and that all information is accurately listed so you receive the best purchase experience.

Renters and buyers don’t pay any transaction fees.
You will be charged as soon as you select your membership level and enter your credit card information. Your initial payment will be charged immediately for the upcoming month, depending on your membership level. After that, your monthly membership fee will be automatically charged every month.
You will be charged as soon as you have chosen your subscription level and have entered your credit card information.
Once you have completed your negotiations and confirmed whether you need shipping, you can proceed with the transaction.
You will be asked to review the details of your transaction and provide your credit card information. Once you confirm the transaction, it will be charged to your credit card.
From the Payment tab, you have the option of entering a new credit card or using one of your saved cards. Please note that the default is set to saved cards. Simply select the image of the card you wish to use.
If you wish to add a new card, just fill in the required information and click “Pay now”.

The total price of a product on Constructo VIP is based on the rental/sale price set by the owner of the product. However, the price may be negotiated between the two parties.
Additional fees apply only for the renter/seller. You will find additional information on the Seller page.
We accept:
- Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard & American Express)
- Payment by interact e-transfer or Wire transfer
- Cheques
- ETF (electronic transfer funds) are also available for large transactions
You can cancel your transaction at any time during the negotiation/payment process by clicking “Cancel Negotiation.” You will then be asked if you are sure that you want to cancel. Select “yes” or “no” to cancel or return to the transaction.
Once you have completed the negotiation/payment process and the payment has been confirmed, you will not be able to cancel the transaction.
If you want to cancel an already finalized reservation, please contact us at [email protected]. We will communicate with the renter/seller and see if they are willing to cancel the transaction.
You will then receive a complete refund, minus any fees incurred by Constructo VIP (Example: 3% processing fees incurred by Constructo VIP).
You cannot cancel a reservation within 48 hours of the shipping date.
If the renter/seller is willing to cancel a transaction that has already been confirmed, you will receive a full refund, minus any fees incurred by Constructo VIP.
(Example: payment processing fees)
Once the transaction has been accepted, the renter/seller can’t cancel the reservation.

4. Features
No. We act as an intermediary between the seller (the person offering the product/inventory) and the buyer (the person renting or buying the product/inventory). When you use our platform, you are dealing with other business members on our site. We are the facilitators of the transaction process.
A Constructo VIP Wiz is a Constructo team member who is there to help you through the process of creating your company account and learning about how the marketplace works.
They are always available to help and answer any questions you may have.
They will help you to create your profile, teach you how to post, search, and identify opportunities on the marketplace.
The Constructo VIP Wiz will take you through the entire process, step by step, and remain available to answer all your questions afterward (expertise, photo shoot, brokerage).

The Constructo VIP Wiz is here to help you.
- The Constructo VIP Protection Plan protects you from paying the deductible on any product you rent. If the product is damaged during your rental period, our Constructo VIP Protection Plan will cover the deductible for you (up to a total of $5,000), providing peace of mind during your entire rental period. Note that you will have to maintain insurance on your product for the entire duration of the lease period
- The Constructo VIP Protection Plan does not cover CSST-related injuries
- The Constructo VIP Protection Plan does not cover the deductible if your insurance company does not cover your claim. Please ensure that your insurance covers your rental expenses as well as the equipment outside the production zone
Yes. Some members require a signed contract or rental agreement prior to the reservation start date.
This contract is between the lender/seller and the renter/buyer, and in no way involves Constructo VIP.
For the lender/seller
If you require a renter/buyer to sign a contract, you must disclose the contract terms to them prior to booking. The easiest way to do this is to mention the contract in your listing description and include this stipulation in your communications with the renter/buyer.
Constructo VIP cannot assist you in upholding any special policies in your contract.
For the renter/buyer
Lenders/sellers may ask you to sign a contract. However, they must disclose this requirement and its terms prior to booking.
If your lender/seller asks you to sign a contract that you weren’t notified about before you made the reservation, you can decline to sign the contract and ask your lender/seller to cancel your reservation instead.
If you have a free subscription, there is no need to deactivate or unsubscribe from the account.
To unsubscribe when you have a paid subscription, go to your dashboard. In the “Settings” tab, go to “Subscription” and click “Manage.” From there, you can choose the free subscription option. After that, you will no longer be billed monthly.
Note: if you have chosen the annual subscription, you will have to wait until the end of your subscription period before unsubscribing.
